Prep: - on 27th/28th July Cordelia and Imogen spent 2 days walking the route in fine hot weather to work out the exact route and to establish equipment/ food and water needs. Both train 6 days a week - running/ swimming/ cycling/ rowing/ hiking and Imogen has previously hiked all the peaks many times on their own or on shorter day walks.
Cordelia would be much faster on her own and Imogen had a bad cold so was not as fast as usual.
Seth loves scrambles so had done all of the scrambles and some of the peaks before.
Support team - Pat and Mike Yates - with flasks of coffee/ sarnies/ cereal bars/ sun cream/ water/ spare clothes/ leki poles for 2nd section for Imogen and Seth etc.
Pen y Pass - 4.25am
Crib Goch 5.53 am start time - clear as the sun came up
Crib y Ddysgl -6.49 (Garnedd Ugain?) - misty/ windy
Snowdon 7.10 am - misty
Jogged down Llanberis Path to Llanberis - hot and sunny
Nant Peris left at 9am
Elidir Fawr 10.48 - hot and sunny
Y Garn 11.53 am - hot and sunny
Glyder Fawr - 12.44
Glyder Fach - 1.28pm
Tryfan 14.55 tryfan - left at 15.00
Ogwen valley 16.00 - had a rest till 16.45 - collected walking poles
and survival bags/ warmer kit
Pen yr Ole Wen - via the east ridge - not the usual steep slog - 18.28pm

Long slog over Drum to upper car park at Aber at 12.07am - met by
Total peak to peak time 15 hours 50 mins
Rest time - at least an hour over 2 breaks plus the usual stops for
photos/ clothes swaps/ food/ to chat etc
Equipment- walking boots (dee) seth and I had trainers - walking type
then I swapped into running ones after Snowdon

We all needed windproofs/ hats and gloves and long trousers in the
early morning and the evening and we had them - we all wore shorts in
Food: For example Imogen ate:
Coffee/ apple juice 3.30 am
Jam sarnie on rye/ rice pudding/ coffee 8.30 am
Choc bar 11am/ lucozade sport- half
Chicken on rye and cereal bar at 1ish
Cheese on rye and some pasta plus a solero at 4pm
Cereal bar at 7pm
Half a flapjack and some choc at 10pm/ lucozade
About 4-5 litres of water
Red wine at the end in the bath!
